National Band Association
Board members: the next meeting is Friday, June 27, 9 a.m. for the exec board and 10 a.m., full board, Parkside School, Wautoma.
The 2008 convention was considered a very successful venture for all kinds of reasons:
105 members registered for the convention (80 pre-registered),
66 members took part in the luncheon,
outstanding performances by all guest bands,
Dr. Moorhouse & Dr. Yontz provided superb leadership to the state honors bands under their direction,
Clinic sessions were well-attended and packed with lots of great information for all attendees,
And much more...if you couldn't attend, you missed a great one! The 25th state convention will be January 23-24, 2009 in Wisconsin Rapids. Put these dates on your '08-'09 school calendar now, so you can help make it the best ever session.
Don't forget to think about who are you bringing into NBA-WC for this school year. Perhaps a new colleague? A student teacher? Make it a priority - growing our chapter makes us stronger!

Due to the enthusiasm and planning by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Music Department some five years ago, we continue to see other state universities and colleges developing student NBA chapters. Wisconsin NBA is proud to see this level of excitement and involvement by aspiring instrumental music educators!
